PACKING AND SHIPPING

Arranging and managing the transportation of personal possessions, furniture, even motor vehicles across international borders is a very time consuming and complex matter.

If you get import or customs paperwork even a little bit wrong, or miss a vital form the chances are that your shipment will be delayed (sometimes be a few weeks!) or even rejected.

Farthingtons will manage the entire process for both corporate and private Clients from the moment a move is planned to the time everything has been offloaded and installed in the new home.

It is vital to remember that many international shipments will take approximately six weeks to reach the destination country and then up to a further two weeks for customs clearance before being delivered. Should it be necessary, Farthingtons can organise temporary rental furniture, electrical goods and crockery.

Working with carefully selected shippers and freight forwarders we arrange for goods to be carefully wrapped and packed with a full inventory prepared for customs.

Because Farthingtons manage many relocations we receive preferential service from the shippers we work with, this enables us to pass savings onto our Clients.
